GEORGINA BEYER (Labour-Wairarapa): It is a pleasure to take a brief call on this bill. It never hurts to reflect on some of what this bill is about. The objective of the integration of these two particular agencies reflects the need for New Zealand business to be internationally competitive, whether markets are domestic or off shore, or both. It also recognises that a strong focus on internationalism and on growing New Zealand export earnings is critical to improving New Zealand’s overall economic growth. I commend the bill to the House.
