Georgina Beyer is vacating her seat in the Wairarapa electorate but is on the Labour List (No.35) for the upcoming General Election on Saturday 17th September 2005.
"Thank you to the voters of the Wairarapa electorate. I am grateful and humbled that you saw fit to elect me as your representative in Parliament.
My thanks also to my dedicated staff who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes – I could not have managed such a large electorate without them.
Although it has not always been easy I have enjoyed the task of being Wairarapa’s MP immensely and feel that I now leave the electorate in a much more positive position than I found it."
