Wairarapa's new MP, Georgina Beyer, has won her battle to stop an interview with American TV Show host and comedian Roseanne Barr from going to air.
"The producers have agreed to drop the interview and apologised to me as I felt the interview had not gone well", Ms Beyer said today.
The January 29 interview, conducted via satellite link from Wellington, had not followed the previously agreed format and Ms Beyer said she felt the questions that were substituted were not appropriate.
Ms Beyer did not sign a release for the interview and instead asked that the interview be canned.
"I am very pleased with the outcome and am glad they respected my wishes", Ms Beyer said.
