Wairarapa MP, Georgina Beyer is pleased that the Minister for Regional Development Jim Anderton has announced that Industry New Zealand has allocated $82,500 to the Wairarapa region for the second round of the Regional Partnership Programme.
Ms Beyer says this displays significant confidence in the regional economy.
Each plan has to come from local people committed to making their regional economy work, and in the Wairarapa many people have been involved including local groups, councils and iwis.
Georgina said this is another example of Labour Alliance Government showing confidence in regional development and partnership.
